Corporate Social Responsibility
As a responsible business and employer we have closely aligned our Corporate Social Responsibility commitments to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
We recognise that we all have a part to play, no matter how small, in order to make our world a better place to live, work and play in. Through our commitments at a local grassroots level we have the ability to influence wider society encouraging everyone to act in a responsible and sustainable manner.
No Poverty
We pay our staff a fair wage ensuring that none of our employees are living below the poverty line. We recognise that young workers are twice as likely to be living in extreme poverty as adult workers and therefore pay our younger workers at a comparable rate to our adult workers.
Good Health & Well-Being
We recognise the significant importance of a mentally and physically fit workforce and its wider impact in terms of our business, the wider community and at an individual level. We have therefore committed to a range of health and wellbeing initiatives including corporate health plans, access to wellbeing articles through our HR platform, staff engagement opportunities and health checks.
Quality Education
Our young people are the future of both our business and the wider world, therefore investment in them is key to moving forward. We work closely with our local regional college offering long term opportunities for apprentices.
Gender Equality
Gender equality is something we have always embraced as a business, despite operating in a largely male dominated industry. We have females in a number of our management roles including director level and afford all of our staff, regardless of the gender they identify as, the same opportunities.
Affordable & Clean Energy
We have made huge improvements in our approach to meeting our responsibilities in relation to affordable and clean energy. We have worked hard to ensure that our energy suppliers deliver sustainably in how they produce energy and do business. We work closely with our staff to ensure that we reduce energy where reasonably practicable including through the simple things like switching off appliances etc.
Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure
We work closely with our supply chain in respect of industry innovation to ensure that the products we supply to our clients are sustainable both in how they are produced but also across their lifespan.
Reduced Inequalities
We recognise the impact that income inequality has both for individuals and wider society. We therefore ensure that we pay a fair wage to all of our employees irrespective of their gender, age or disability.
Climate Action
We see the potentially catastrophic impact that climate change is already having on the world and are therefore committed to ensuring that we do business in a manner which where reasonably practicable, leaves no trace.
